A Will Shortz Puzzle

via WikimediaCommons

The new Will Shortz weekend puzzle may appeal to tennis players, so I'm passing it along:

==> What is the MOST consecutive points that a tennis player can LOSE and still win a best-of-five-set tennis match?

I'll wait 'til Will officially announces the answer next Sunday to post it here, though commenters may have already agreed on an answer by then.

==> the correct answer is indeed 76. Will Shortz gives it here:

[the tricky part (to me) is to consider the first set going to a 7-5 outcome rather than a 6-4 outcome]
