For Sunday reflection:
A story has been told of a visitor once to the office of
Nobel-prize-winning physicist Niels Bohr who noticed a horseshoe hanging
over the scientist's desk. The visitor asks, "
Surely you
don’t believe that horseshoe will bring you good luck, Professor Bohr?”
To which the brilliant Bohr chuckled and replied, “
I believe no such thing, my good friend. Not at all. I
am scarcely likely to believe such foolish nonsense. However, I am told
that a horseshoe will bring one good luck whether you believe it or
not.”
